Three Poems
by David Gladfelter

scream mask

The television king sits on a dope throne, screaming in a scream mask.
He has to live alone.
Whats he up to. What can I do to stop the blood he steals from me.
Whats the worth of teeth.
Garbage aflame in a pit.
A ‘heart’ that just gets stupider and fucks up harder and cant get high anymore.
Screaming in a scream mask, over and over.

goku sweatshirt

I havent bought prescription drugs in a bit from the high school kids that I work with.
I wonder how it felt to wear a polo in 2008.
I bet it felt great.

Terrible Formless Amnesty

Forge a divorce of likely means.
Ghost on the pressing things.
Meet some far away beacon.
See the way it dims, maybe deepens.
Ascend to a smoothen slope.
Then bare rooms. Halls to grope.
No fear though exposed.
Faint path here, a flash of perhaps where someone goes.

A sense of welcome. Unshakeable welcome.
Thats when some sort of fear comes.

Stone goblets all around in a thousand gaping throats.
Gaudy trinkets sliding freely on wrists lopsided above thrones.
Streaky, my bad life caught in a reflecting ledger.
Post my dick on r/seventhseal.
Hold my breath for the face reveal.

A sense of welcome. Unshakeable welcome.
Thats when some sort of fear comes.

I stumble on the slope.
A zero journal of names.
No more places.
Face burning.
A test or a dream or neither of those things.
