by Caitlin O'Halloran
He sleeps while they hover,
schools of fish that welcome him
to the neighborhood,
their little corner of the ocean
near the coral reef.
A clownfish nudges him gently
with his fin, as if to stir him
from his slumber.
Another weaves in and out
between locks of hair
that sway back and forth,
streaming upward
like strands of kelp.
