Three Poems
by Ron Arbuckle

CAN YOU KEEP THE BUZZING DOWN? I’M DELIVERING SHAREHOLDER VALUE IN HERE!

Kaiju housefly

Stuck on a kaiju window

Unable to break free

From a life of abundance

WILEY COYOTE NEEDS A WELLNESS CHECK & LOAN FORGIVENESS

I crawled out of the pits of despair

Pulled myself up by these bootstraps

Hands on hips I took in the day

Listened to the birds sing

Real trees not shadows in the cave

One sigh of relief

Before a crushing weight

Ground me into dust

Lone word etched in the side

ACME

THE WELL-HOUSE

Diamond eyes piercing

Bodies draped like silks

Cold terror drips down hairless neck

Synapsial seeds sprout

Now fertilized propagating

Thoughts bloom

As mind’s eye blinks

Roots take hold

Subconscious prostration

Death awaits

With an ethereal handshake

Of serpentine affectation
