Shedding Leaves
by Shil

Shedding leaves

Give way to naked trees

Who shudder in the wind

And dance with the breeze

And a ladybug

Traversing a trunk

May nestle into a hole

And enjoy its new bunk

The sun might peak

Through nomadic clouds

And shy away once more

Behind an opaque shroud

For when all is shriveled

When God renders them dead

The dirt holds the memory

Of the lives that were led
