Five Poems
by Angela Yang

Everything is a mouth for more

I wake up
Eat a cold Lindt
Remember nothing
from my past lives

Pasta boiled to the burn like cola worms
Outside
a desk chair on the grass for free

I smile big in the backlit mirror
Applying the bottom teeth whitening strip

Sabson

Make me bigger by holding me
A hug is a trap
to feel more free

Don’t need much-better things

Seeunextterm5!

Can’t remember the old password
Is that a good thing

Can't help myself 2016

The robot vac is out of water
so it won’t eat my hair anymore
I want to feel like this

Brunch

She covered the leftover salad with a tissue. I’m starting to see what the issue is. The natural instinct would be to talk back. I didn’t. There was a sigh. The face looked quite beautiful as I noticed it, its eyes bright as fish oil. They were crying. I didn’t do what I was good at, I didn’t say sorry then.
